Hear what our members have to say when asked, “What does VFRW mean to you?”
[VFRW was] one of the first places I ever felt like I belonged. Once a month I dropped all my other titles (Mom, “honey”, etc.) and for a few hours I could be Caroline. I could talk to like-minded people with like-minded goals. I could be around other people who “got it.” (Where else would I go for advice on how to kill people and get away with it, without someone freaking out and calling the FBI?)

VFRW took me and my writing seriously when most people I knew didn’t. Not only did the members make my path to publication easier, but I consider them some of my best friends.
When I first moved to the area, finding my local RWA Chapter was one of the first things I did, and I couldn’t have been happier with the group of romance writers I found. They were welcoming and encouraging and have helped me relaunch my writing career!

VFRW is the one place where I can find people who write romance, who understand how tough it can be to develop new stories and promote new releases, and who are incredibly supportive. I’ve learned so much from the chapter, and I always am inspired to keep writing whenever I attend our meetings. Honestly, I don’t know where I’d be without VFRW. Joining the chapter was the best thing I’ve ever done for my career.
I found VFRW when I was just starting to test the waters of chapter contests. At my very first meeting, I was welcomed and made to feel like a “member of the tribe.” Within a few months, I made friends. Within a year, I was volunteering and brainstorming with other writers. It’s been almost a decade, now, and I couldn’t imagine my life without the Valley Forge chapter!

VFRW means sharing.
[VFRW provides] comradeship in a diversity of writers

[To me, VFRW means] Acceptance. Comfort. Commiseration. Community. Encouragement. Fellowship. Hope. Hugs. Inspiration. Support.
